Originally a public program with Rodman Hall Art Centre, loosely built around the format of those who create or enjoy visual culture sharing five images and speaking about them for two minutes each. We’ve evolved over the last few years, and are a very organic space for conversations that happen both online and in person.

Our in person guidelines are as follows:

5 x 2 happens on the SECOND TUESDAY of the month.
5 to 7 pm. Presentations from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
LOCATION: at Mahtay Café (241 St. Paul St.)

FREE to everyone, and everyone is welcome.

Artists, architects, designers, image-makers and those who enjoy visual culture are invited to attend 5 x 2. Contribute to the conversation by providing 5 images and talk about each for 2 minutes (This can be more or less, dependent on participants and the group itself). Show us what you are working on, have finished, what inspires you, or just enjoy the discussion.

To present your images you can contact Bart Gazzola at bart.gazzola[at]gmail.com, or through a DM on FB.
You can share images with Gazzola, and he’ll post them, or you can also bring a USB stick or access a website, as we employ a laptop / projector for presentations.

When we meet online (as we did during COVID), members can share images to the 5 x 2 page: we simply ask that you limit posts to 5 images, or make multiple posts with individual images, so everyone can enjoy them more easily.

We also invite non-presenters to attend and share in the conversation.
